Call for Papers

2024 7th IEEE International Conference on Unmanned Systems (ICUS 2024), co-sponsored by IEEE Nanjing Section and Chinese institute of Command and Control (CICC), organized by Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology of China, Technical Committee on Unmanned Systems of CICC, Technical Committee on Swarm Intelligence and Cooperative Control of CICC, Technical Committee on Cooperative Control for Air Multi Intelligent Agents of CICC, will be held from October 18 to 20 in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China. 

As with previous conferences, accepted full papers will be submitted for inclusion into IEEE Xplore subject to meeting IEEE Xplore's scope and quality requirements, and for being indexed by Ei, after presentation at the conference. 

Scope

Over the years, unmanned systems, represented by unmanned aerial vehicles, unmanned ground vehicles, unmanned surface ships, unmanned subsurface systems and robots, are developing rapidly, and have become a new growth pole and key support area of the global economy. Especially, unmanned systems are developing rapidly enabled by artificial intelligence.

This trend is reflected in various topics of interest of ICUS 2024. This conference will serve as a forum for scientists, engineers and practitioners to discuss related issues on unmanned systems, robotics, automation and intelligent systems.

Writing Requirements

Prospective authors are invited to submit full papers or extended abstracts in PDF format using the given templates at the bottom of this page.

Ⅰ. Full Paper

  1. When writing full papers, the authors must use one of the given IEEE templates, Microsoft word A4 or LaTeX, which are listed below.

  2. Full papers should describe original, unpublished research results on the above or related topics.

  3. Each full paper shoud be no less than 5 pages, including tables, figures and references, and it had better not exceed 6 pages, othewise it will be additionally charged.

  4. Multiple submission and plagiarism are prohibited. All full papers will be submitted to IEEE CrossCheck for plagiarism check, and the total similarity should not exceeed 30% (including bibliography), and it must not exceed 3% for a single source.

  5. It is the author's responsibility to make sure that the submitted paper does not contain any confidential and/or sensitive contents.

Ⅱ. Extended Abstract

  1. The primary purpose of extended abstract is to share excellent research results at the conference, and even published content can be submitted.

  2. Authors should write extended abstracts in English using the corresponding template given below.

  3. An extended abstract should not exceed 4 pages.

Submission and Publication

  1. Both full papers and extended abstracts should be submitted through the conference online submission system .

  2. After registered and presented at the conference, accepted full papers will be included in the conference proceedings, submitted for inclusion into IEEE Xplore subject to meeting IEEE Xplore's scope and quality requirements, and for being indexed by Ei .

  3. Please be advised that IEEE requires all authors intending to publish in the IEEE Xplore® digital library must provide a transfer of copyright and the papers must be presented at the conference.

  4. After registration, accepted extended abstracts can also be presented at the conference, but their copyrights will not be transferred, and they will not be included in the conference proceedings. Nor will they be submitted to IEEE Xplore and indexed by EI.

  5. Standard of registration fee for extended abstract is the same as that for full paper.

  6. Accepted full paper must be presented at the conference,  otherwise it will be removed from the conference proceedings and the registration fee will not be refunded.
